Words Instead of 'Said'.


As part of writing today we focused on dialogue. We are learning about dialogue because myths and legends often have dialogue to help paint a better picture of the characters involved.
While we were looking at some examples of dialogue we found some words that are more descriptive than "said".Here is a list of words we thought we'd use instead.

Matariki


Yesterday we spent the day learning about Matariki.If you are lucky enough to see Matariki in the sky, please post a comment and tell us what you saw, when you saw it, and where you looked to find it.
During the day we watched the following videos. There were three videos. They are one of the Maori Myths behind Matariki, and the same as the book we read in class.

During reading today, Leo and Mele wrote lots of words that begin with the SM blend. Can you think of any others. You may add prefixes and suffixes to make new words using the words you see.
